Right now, we are seeking a **Senior Manager, Product Management** ,
based at Western Union's Digital headquarters in San Francisco,

Your role will be to understand customer needs, translate
them into requirements and work with engineering to implement them. You and
your team will make sure that Western Union web platform is evolving
consistently across product areas and provide leadership to all product groups
on how to develop our product suite's web platform to deliver the best user
experience to our customers. In this role you will be working closely with
other product groups, marketing, regional business teams, customer support
teams to understand customer expectations and design effective solution to
exceed them. You bridge the technical and business worlds as you design
services that our users love. The ideal Product Manager obsessively seeks to
understand the customer's perspective, is data-driven, has a bias toward
action, and can break down complex problems into steps that drive product

**AnIdeal Candidate would:**

+ Championsthe voice of the customer. Fully leverages data from CS, Business, Community,external research to drive product decisions

+ Developseffective customer feedback loops, understands implications of feedback andtranslates that into better features and products

+ Communicates theproduct strategy and vision in a compelling manner, which helps the team toremain focused on a common goal

+ Able to influenceand change the thinking of team members and internal partners on market,customer, design, or process issues

+ Leads the diagnosisof difficult, ambiguous, and highly contentious product or strategy issuesinvolving multiple groups, and makes recommendations to senior management onhow to resolve them

+ Provides compellingarguments on behalf of the feature areas that effectively counters executiveskepticism or objections

+ Monitoringindustry trends to inform product strategy. Assess opportunities by identifyingROI, define key performance indicators and partner with analytics team tomeasure success

+ Generateproduct ideas that are focused on driving sales, acquiring new customers,retaining existing customers, building brand loyalty, and providingself-service tools to customers

+ Setspriorities for multiple feature areas/projects based on and aligns to theproduct vision, and clearly communicates priorities across feature teams

+ Uses customersegmentation, market research, and firsthand customer knowledge to refine plans,specifications, and designs for multiple feature areas/projects

+ Understandproduct alternatives and work with multi-disciplined team to understandtrade-offs and put value on alternatives

+ Defineand document product requirements, features, and functionality

+ Workwith UI/UX teams to bring engaging user experiences to life

+ Manageproducts through the product development lifecycle

+ Actas product owner in agile process. Leadin-house teams using agile scrum methodology drafting business requirements,prioritizing features, authoring user stories and acceptance criteria, andcollaborating with scrum team members to ensure product features are deliveredaccording to specifications

+ Provideongoing analysis on product effectiveness using a data driven approach

+ Coordinatewith WU Mobile marketing professionals to leverage relationships, establishbest practices for marketing and advertising and collaborate on a unified WUvision in the mobile space

+ Continuouslyimplement and improve analytics infrastructure to track, monitor, optimize,innovate and report on acquisition and conversion metrics

+ Workwith regional teams to get alignment, report updates and build business cases,solutions etc.

+ Managea team of product managers and product analysts

**Whatyou will need to succeed:**

+ BA/BSin Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practicalexperience.

+ MBAis an advantage

+ 10+years of experience building and launching consumer applications on web andmobile platforms

+ Atleast 5 years of product experience in Web/Mobile technologies, and Web/Mobileuser experience

+ Pasttechnical background, with 3+ years in an engineering role

+ Experiencemanaging a team of product managers

+ Undergraduateor Graduate degree in engineering, business, or equivalent

+ Strongexperience of agile required, PO certification preferred

+ Abilityto break down requirements into epics and stories, grooming and elaboration ofstories

+ Abilityto negotiate with engineering, UI, UX, Content on the story scope, complexityetc.

+ Strongbusiness writing, numerical analysis and verbal communication skills

+ Getthings done attitude; Self-motivated, with the ability to "roll-up sleeves" andprioritize critical deadlines

+ Experienceworking with multiple stakeholders/teams in different countries with differentcultural backgrounds

+ Abilityto work seamlessly with matrix teams, and juggle projects across multiplenetworks and platforms

+ Attentionto detail and a penchant for creating great customer experiences

+ Abilityto break down complex experiences into simple documents, stories, and flows

+ Experiencedeveloping basic wireframes and interaction flows for mobile UI's

+ Experiencewith running focus groups, customer research and usability testingmethodologies

+ Experiencein digital marketing a strong plus

+ Experienceworking in a large corporate environment a plus

+ Experiencein global money movement a plus

+ Experienceworking on payment products desirable

+ Experiencein web and mobile analytics a strong plus
