Right now, we are seeking a **Senior Manager, Portfolio Management & Governance** based at Western Union's Digital headquarters in San Francisco, California.

+ Lead a globally distributed portfolio and governance team to operate the processes that supports Western Union Digital's regionalized development model, streamline roadmap intake and prioritization process, and lead process governance functions

+ Ensure regional top priorities traverse through the product delivery pipeline most effectively

+ Rollup roadmap and execution status from all regions and all business areas

+ Lead process improvement and process governance function to ensure process efficiency, transparency, consistency, and adherence

+ Provide regular metrics and reports (resource, delivery, cost, etc.) for transparency to stakeholders at all levels and assess operating effectiveness

+ Manage end-to-end planning - Quarterly Release Planning and Annual Planning process

+ Drive cross-functional teams to reach planning readiness - such teams include executive leadership, business owners, legal/compliance, product management, project management, and engineering teams.

+ Ensure business strategy and priority orders are reflected through planning and project execution cycles

+ Produce committed quarterly roadmap for all tracks as output of release planning

+ Exercise SAFe and Agile best practices throughout the development cycles

+ Analyze roadmap impact and recommend options on off-cycle requests and initiatives

+ Help teams remove impediments and roadblocks, escalate issues where needed

+ Provide regular and timely executive level communications on planning outcome and roadmap updates

+ Manage and maintain planning artifacts and roadmap

+ Manage budget, expense, and resource onboarding needs

+ Uncover process gaps, make process improvements, and drive adoption of improved process

+ Update and improve tools for most efficient portfolio and planning operations

+ Understand other process outside Western Union Digital and can help Digital teams navigate outside processes

**What you will need to succeed:**

+ Team management experience in a portfolio management and/or program management organization

+ Project management experience (8+ years) in both traditional and Agile software development

+ Portfolio management experience (3+ years) in financial technology company

+ In-depth understanding in software development lifecycle for web, mobile, payments, and risk technologies

+ Proven success in managing large-scale planning in a highly cross-functional organization with multiple dependencies and legal/compliance obligations

+ Ability to partner with regional leaders as well as central implementation teams

+ Proven track record in collaborating with global cross-functional team (cross multiple location & time zones)

+ Can perform scenario-play and impact analysis at portfolio, program, and project levels

+ Extremely well organized

+ Excellent communication skills - from executive level to development team level

+ Fluent in JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office productivity tools

+ Can distill crisp communication from multiple inconsistent sources

+ Proven track record in process governance and establishing/rolling out processes

+ Bachelor's degree required

+ PMP, Agile/Scrum certification, SAFe certification preferred
