Senior Application Tools Specialist

U.S. Bank is seeking a proficient Senior Application Tools Specialist with technology assessment and evaluation experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Consults on the selection of all tools and toolkits for specific application development initiatives. Evaluates and integrates developer tools solutions for Web or Mainframe-based applications. Acts as vendor liaison for products and services to support development tools. Provides analysis and design mentoring across developers' organizations. Consults and advises training vendors regarding specific training needs and requirements. Oversees and performs administrative functions for selected tools. Designs and constructs in-house utilities. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, maintains, and modifies administration tools of high complexity, significance, and risk.

**Qualifications:**


**Basic Qualifications**





-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

-At least 6 years of experience with developing and implementing applications.





**Preferred Skills/Experience**






+ Hands on Experience in Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing production systems, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems.

+ Strong leadership skills to manage the team and maintain/administer application

+ Experience with configuration management and designing and developing DevOps solution architecture

+ servers/capacity across all products; Informatica, Greenplum, Cassandra and Mulesoft

+ Own the installation and configuration of application tools; Informatica, Mulesoft, Greenplum, Cassandra

+ Experience in building scalable and highly available distributed systems.

+ Perform administrator duties for Cassandra or Greenplum or Mulesoft

+ Create shell scripts to monitor the application servers availability, stats gathering, alert log monitoring and generate reports

+ Hands on with MPP, Greenplum database concepts, high availability, and failover.

+ Responsible for day-to-day administration activities like role management, concurrency control, Database monitoring.

+ Experience on Greenplum and Cassandra Database Backups and restoring.

+ Experience on Workload management, monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting database issues.

+ Experience on Linux platform, shell scripting.

+ In depth knowledge of architecting and creating Cassandra/no SQL database systems.

+ Solid understanding of No SQL Database

+ Strong problem solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments
