The Role

Pratt & Whitney's aftermarket Engine Services organization is seeking a lead for PW4000 gas turbine engine material management activities.

This position is an integral part of a team implementing and executing a long-term business agreement with United Airlines. The agreement focuses on reducing the cost of gas turbine engine ownership and improving production support through a streamlined parts delivery, parts repair and engine maintenance program.

You will partner with the United Airlines materials management program senior manager to ensure flawless execution of P&W part delivery and contractual commitments to United Airlines by: Establishing and monitoring inventory levels to effectively meet customer needs. Monitoring, reporting and improving upon material delivery metrics to include optimizing inventory levels and customer schedules. Creating purchase orders, coordinating material flow between United Airlines and repair suppliers and tracking work-in-process. Enhancing business processes to improve organizational efficiency and financial performance through the use of continuous improvement methodologies and tools.

Must be a US Citizen - due to government contracts.

**Qualification:** Basic Qualifications


oMinimum of 7+ years of relevant work experience

oDemonstrated expertise in materials management life cycle activities including forecasting, scheduling, inventory control, procurement/purchasing and shipping superior communication and teaming ability


Preferred Qualifications

oAdvanced degree in an engineering or business-focused operations/logistics field of study with 5+ years of relevant work experience preferred

oAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Access

oA fundamental understanding of financial implications resulting from asset management decisions

oDemonstrated experience utilizing forward thinking and creativity to identify and execute on business development and customer service opportunities

oComfort with change; adaptable to evolving business and customer demands

oPrior experience working with aviation customers (including airlines) to meet their business needs
